About

My name is Tanya Gokhstein and my career journey was an amazing adventure of different jobs and countries. After graduating from Moscow State University with a double degree in Counselling Psychology (MA) and English (Teacher/Interpreter), I was not completely sure what my dream career would be. There was so much to chose from – psychotherapy, teaching, HR and so much more!

As my personal life took me to my next destination – South Africa, I decided to complement my studies with an Honor’s degree in Industrial Psychology and HRM, while working in the career guidance center of the University of Johannesburg (former RAU). That’s where my passion for career counselling began. It definitely was my vibe as I was helping young students to make the most important decisions in their lives!

My next geographical destination was Israel and there I fulfilled my passion for teaching by working as an English Teacher. Lots of amazing memories and wonderful students, who I am in touch with even today.

And finally, my big move to Canada where I continued to pursue my passion for coaching, counselling and helping people to find success and happiness in their work life. After working for 7 years in the community employment services, I realized my ultimate dream to work in the post-secondary environment as a Career Counsellor, Employment, Cooperative Education Advisor and Teacher. That’s where I have been happily working for the past 10 years. I have never stopped learning (workshops, conferences, courses, certifications – I am not going to list them all) and I never will as it is another one of my passions.

Sometime along this journey I started helping my friends and their children to chose a career, a path , a school , a program… then it grew into …MyVibe Careers! That’s my story -and I welcome you to share yours!
